I’m starting a new series titled, “Junk in My Trunk,”* in which I review my favorite junk foods. Now, normally, I do not buy junk food because I eat enough crap out that I do not need to eat unhealthy food when I’m in my own home. But once in a while, I’ll give in… especially if said “junk” isn’t so bad for you (or at least, less unhealthy than similar alternatives). Which brings me to the inaugural “Junk in My Trunk” snack item: Trader Joe’s Ridge Cut Sweet Potato Chips.

TJ's Sweet Potato Chips
Notice what the bag says, at the bottom: “Low Sodium. Good Source of Fiber.” Plus! Sweet potatoes are chock full of Vitamin B (I think). Despite being fried and what not, these chips are actually not that bad for you. And they are SO DELICIOUS. With any junk food, I try to ration a small portion to prevent myself from gorging the entire bag/box/container.

A serving of chips, though I usually help myself to a couple more.

Sweet potato chip: up close and personal.
I don’t what it is about fried sweet potatoes, but they are really good. I heart TJ’s Sweet Potato Chips!
*The sad irony is that I have no “junk in my trunk.” No booty to speak of.

I don’t believe you! You have some booty!
