Because I’m too lazy to write a full post, I thought I’d post a few links that might pique your interest.

First: Did you read last week’s New York Times Sunday Magazine? Michael Pollan wrote a thought provoking (though, at times, overly simplistic) piece about how despite the increasing popularity of “foodie” culture, especially through food television shows, we are cooking less and less. He also touches upon the issues of gender equality and cooking, as well as the anthropological and evolutionary reasons of why we cook.

Second: Loyal blog reader chachi sent me a link to 101 Cookbook’s favorite San Francisco eateries. I think it’s a great list, and there’s also lots of good recommendations in the comments section. Check it out! (Thanks chachi!)

Howdy! My name is Jen and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I like to eat, run, and blog, but not usually at the same time.
